The New York Post reports that a bill is being introduced Thursday which would hit buyers of counterfeit handbags with a $1000 fine or a year in jail. Historically it has only been the merchants that get penalized but one councilwoman is taking action against the phonies (people and purses)! -Francine Davis Ballard YES! Just like they do in Europe! People should respect a designer’s creativity and creations.
